Questions to consider:

• Family size – Do you typically host multiple guests and/or require more than one master suite? Would your family dynamic be better suited on one level or multiple?
• Hobbies – Do you have hobbies that require additional space? A few examples might be more than one office, a game room, a movie theater, additional garage bays, more garage square footage, an additional outdoor area, tennis or pickleball courts or additional structures on the property.
• Entertaining – Do you like to entertain guests? Do you have large parties? What space is required for entertaining? Is it indoor and outdoor? Do you need additional kitchen space such as a butler’s kitchen or a full outdoor kitchen?
• Visitors – How often do guests visit and stay with you? Do you need extended stay areas? Private entrance and exits? Multiple master suites? A guest house or cabana?
• Storage Space – Luxury homes command storage space so all of your belongings aren’t spilling out into every room. Large closets, many closets, his and her master closets, entry areas, pool storage, outdoor storage? How much storage space do you require?
• Family – If you have kids or grandchildren, do they love playing outside? Do they also need their own space to study or do homework?
• Privacy – Do you need space to get away and relax without interruption? Are you high profile or super private and want a location or house more sequeled from neighbors or onlookers? Do you require special privacy landscaping or technology?
