BEST PLACES TO RETIRE
Naples At Top 2
Naples, Florida just moved two spots, now 2nd on Best Places to Retire in the United States! The beautiful beach town which previously ranked 4th on U.S. News’ list of best retirement cities, now boasts 2nd place on the list dominated by Southwest Florida.
U.S. News analyzed data for the 150 largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. to evaluate how well they meet the retirement needs and expectations of the citizens. Top criteria include the happiness of local residents, housing affordability, tax rates and health care quality. To make the list, these areas had to have good value, be a desirable and affordable place to live, rank high among local residents in happiness, have a strong job market and a high quality of life.
This year, retirees are setting their sights on Florida more than any other state across the nation. It’s no surprise why; after over a year of staying at home, dreaming about the Florida beaches is understandable, and exactly why Florida heavily dominated the list of best places to retire in with cities like Sarasota, Fort Myers, and many more.
If you’re on the market for a place to settle down, in a destination that will keep you busy while also being breathtaking, then Naples is it. Naples’ beauty knows no bounds. The splendor begins with the city’s powdery, white sand beaches, which extend from the parks and public beaches near downtown to more secluded seaside havens to the north. Naples’ beaches and sunsets are regarded among the finest in the world, and offer visitors a tranquil and beautiful escape from everyday life. It is worth mentioning that the city was named the “Best Beach Town to Live In” by WalletHub. The area’s beautiful pedestrian walks with shops, art galleries and restaurants, along with palatial homes surrounded by tropical landscaping, and its well planned communities are a sight for sore eyes everywhere. Moreover, Florida witnesses over 300 days of sun annually. The weather is perfect year-round with average temperatures between 68°F (20°C) in the winter and 84°F (29°C) in the summer, adding comfort to the luxurious life it offers. No more gloomy, rainy days!
